What is the high idle for? In heavy tow, correct me if I'm wrong, performance is sacrificed to keep egt's down. Isn't that counterproductive if you have a real heavy load to pull. I realize that you have to give up something to get egt's to stay down but............
Its just not a motor tune. The tow programs will change your shiftpoints to keep the motor in the higher part of the torque curve.
Yep that is the case. The amount is per 1000 injection events though. So every 1000 RPM each injector sprays about 90cc of fuel.
Tim wouldn't that be 4000 RPM's since these are a 4 stroke motor?
ie: 1 injector squirt per every 4 revolutions. Therefor every 4000 rotations has 1000 injector events.
Oops I stand corrected. You are right. Every 2000.
Duh, 4 stroke doesn't mean a revolution for every stroke. Just 2 strokes per rev.
I guess them numbers bouncing in my head are getting dizzy, I know I am.
