Im going to be swaping my superchip for a TW 6 pos and was wondering what the difference in some of the settings were, such as economy and daily. Is there a differance in them? And what is the differance between street race, extreme, sled pull, and smoke. To me they all pretty much seem the same. I want to get the best mpgs to and from work and school and then kill a ricer from a light and maybe yank a durturd or two around.
This is what i was thinking I would get:
Stock
Eco.
Light tow or street race
Heavy Tow
Extreme
Sled pull or smoke
I just dont want to have a few settings that are the same.
Thanks
John

This is what I have on my TW chip
High-Idle (1100 Rpm's)
Economy - Boost in performance over stock, yet gives 1-3 better MPG
Daily - Better bottom end from stop light to stop light, don't need as much throttle
Street/Race - Gives a definite punch while retaining a good idle, power moves up in RPM range
Extreme - Choppy idle, touchy throttle, Power up on RPM's
Smoke - LOTS of smoke, aggressive choppy idle, not a setting to use alot, not really practical.
Don't even have stock on there, not really a need for it
Here are the description of the others
Light tow - For, well light towing, Shift points also adjusted for towing
Heavy Tow - Less power than light tow (keep egt's lower) and adjusted shift points
Sled pull - Keeps truck in 2nd. Lots of fuel and smoke.
Nice info robb!
How quick does your truck warm up on high idle?
are you still getting 20-21 on the econo setting?
On high-idle, truck will defiantly warm up quicker than stock idle. As you probably know though, these engines warm up better when there under load (aka driven). Usually on a cold day I'll start, High idle for 3 min, then drive away slowly and let the engine do the rest. As far as mileage, I think the best I ever did was 22 MPG at 65MPH with the cruse control set. This was all highway, and unloaded. I didn't have time to do around town, and usually I was in the pedal more around town so I don't think I'd want to know what the mileage is.

I have stock 90cc singles. Tony can burn for whatever you got though. He's really good with OBS'ers
our injectors flow 95-100 cc's maxed out with a chip. his tuning will use all the fuel that the stock inj can flow. To flow more cc's the injectors need to be internally modified.
Thanks for the help guys. After reading that I think ill change it up a bit and get:
Eco
Daily
Light Tow
Street Race
Extreme
Smoke
Like you said stock isn't really needed and I never tow anything more than a car trailer and I already bought all the stuff to do the high idle mod. Ill be putting in my 6 blow intercooler this weekend, do you guys think there is anything he can do to pump up the HP knowing that?
Thanks
John
What is the high idle for? In heavy tow, correct me if I'm wrong, performance is sacrificed to keep egt's down. Isn't that counterproductive if you have a real heavy load to pull. I realize that you have to give up something to get egt's to stay down but............
With a heavy load you just have to go slower or burn up a motor, What would you rather lose 40 HP or a motor. The high idle is to get the truck to warm up faster or if you have an aux. air pump or something that needs teh motor reved up.
Correct me if I'm wrong but a "High Idle" mode is for warm up, Jump starting another vehicle, running a PTO etc. You don't drive around in "High Idle"
