I actually purchased the parts from Bobs f100 in Cal. This guy named Dave and he was very helpful. It took me about 2 weeks to get the parts.

Hi Aussie!

I have one. It's out of the Parts Illustrations Catalogue. Unfortunately, until the glitch is fixed on posting pictures on FTE I won't be able to post it. If you happen to walk into the corner pub and they have a copy of the "1948-1956 Ford Truck Parts and Accessories Illistrations Catalogue" look on page 380.

I'll try to get this to you. Can you send me a PM with your e-mail addres and I'll send it as an attachment?

Man, when I clicked the submit button for this reply I got a whole bunch of computer jibberish, I guess there must be some bugs in the new system.

Yep that's it. The one on the next page for the panel truck (same vent) has the part numbers for th erest of th ewashers and stuff.

Yeah the new photo posting system is really needing some work.

The parts I have for my cowl vent are:
02122 handle
02121 arm
I also have a brace that looks like it connects to something. Is there anything else I need for this thing to be functional.

Cheers

Hey Aussie 53, When I purchased my truck the Previous owner had removed the entire assembly and disposed of it because he wanted a radio in the same place. I got all my parts here from a truck raerjim was parting out. I had to relocate the handle 3" towards the driverside to clear the radio. To do so was fairly easy . I moved the handle mechanisim and duplicated to tab on the door and spot welded it on 3" over. Works like a charm and I still have the radio. My previous plan was to use a push pull system with a heavy duty cable from a shift cable from a outboard boat motor. Just a option for you to think about.
