I was wondering if anyone has had their truck recalled for the fire problem Ford was having with this. I pre-emptively bought the kit for my truck (I'm not waiting for a recall). I was hoping for a picture or link to someone who's had this done or did it themself. Thx.

 

If you have the kit, put it on. Mine was leaking brake fluid from the connection plugin. You should have a new sensor and a pigtail. Very easy, pull the sensor and install the new one. Brake fluid will not come out when you take the sensor off. You didn't say if you have a diesel or gas, but the psd is not on the recall. Only the gas engine.

 

I responded to you in the Excursion forum with a link to the recall.(Yes, there is a recall) Is yours a gas or diesel because diesels are not included in the recall.

Thanks, I have the PSD but the parts man listed my application. I just didn't see the sensor. Is it on the engine side of the master cylinder?
Since I have an Excursion, I don't think it will ever be recalled...not enough people to complain.
