I used synthetic power steering fluid in mine.
Valvoline Syntec was the name I think, been a while since I installed it.

Glad the install went well for you.

After you fill it with fluid, take a short drive.
Do the full to lock left and right turn at least twice to each side and a couple stops.

Then check the fluid level again.

After you get all the air out of the steering pump side, I think you will be very happy.

hydro-boost fluid?

thanksPLC7.3 and Dave S. i took the truck for a test run after i got home from work tonight and was amazed at the braking on this truck now! but i have a trail of fluid out my drive way, looks to be coming from the presure conection into the steering pump, looks like the original line has an o ring and the new one dont, once i fix that looks like some real sweet brakes. thanks agin. murrhee 86 f250 ext. cab 4x4 reman. 6.9 ast turbo auto 410 gears

The new line should have had an O ring on it as well.
Rather easy to knock it off the fitting when you are installing the line given the proximity of the inner fender.

If someone pulls out in front of you, I hope you wear your seatbelt.
If you jump on the brakes like you had to in the past, it is going to hurt when you kiss the steering wheel.
