hello from Oregon country where the mountain roads are steep. i was hoping that someone could tell me if the $129.00 c6 rebuild kit from napa auto parts is the best parts to get to do the job. the transmission is out and i am ready to give it a go at the rebuild. it was slipping real bad in 1 and alot of black stuff on the filter and bottom of pan. thanks for any help on this. murrhee 86 f250 4x4 reg cab auto 6.9 diesel with lots of new parts

 

If you drive up hills alot id would actually go look for a performance kit. I bought a TCI kit from summit racing for 230 bucks but that included a shift kit also. I dont know if the C6 behind a diesel would differ but im sure it should be the same kit number as a normal kit. Check Summit or Jc Whitney or TCI company itself.
