We got the 51 F-1 with a 283 powerglide home today. I have a picture on my phone I could email to someone if they could post it in the forum

If you have email you can send a pix message from your phone to your email account. Then cut and paste. Give it a shot.

I've tried cut and paste several times. I couldn't get it to work because it askes for the location

You need to create a gallery with the digital pics you have. Then, you can post pics from the gallery into threads. Follow the instructions in the thread below (it is a sticky thread at the top of the forum page):

Any plans to keep the 283? That's a "not-so-common" swap, and can be made to look "period" specific. It sure is a good feeling bringing home a new truck, ain't it?

Nice to hear you got it home. 283 is a good engine, and can be built to pack lot of tork fairly cheap. I had a 55 cheby with one back in the late 60s that was pretty fast with a top loader 4 speed. Any welcome to the dark side, we don't bite, we just go fast cheaper.
