04 6.0 enine oil cooler bad?, leaking oil top rear of engine ideas???
my build date is 7/03 i just replaced my egr cooler a month ago... first time myself what fun! now my cooling fan stays on any time i drive the truck over 70 on the interstate and i only have heat when im giving it fuel none when it idles. it does not have pressure in the cooling system such as a leaking head gasket etc... the other problem is 2 days ago i left it running and went in to prepay 50 in fuel... which isnt much anymore lol... it pumped 2 quarts of oil out on their parking lot just that quick. it runs down from the top of the engine just above the trans bell housing. any ideas will be helpfull hpop have seals that blow? its been on there like 100,000 now truck has 225,000.. oh and please tell me i dont have to take that darn intake back off to do the oil cooler my bolt holes are starting to strip out in it. any help will be appriciated thanks in advance.

Is there any oil on the bottom of your hood If so it could be that blue synthetic hose going from the cooler to your turbo leaking it has happened to me once

Have you checked the coolant level since you replaced the cooler? The level should be at about the "min" mark when the engine is warm.

6.0 leaking oil no heat
yeah the coolant levels are perfectly fine the actuator valve on the heater hose works fine to i guess ill just force water through backwards and c if its plugd up. can you change the icp without removing the turbo or intake? also someone mentiond my fan staying on my be the engine oil cooler stoppd up... does the water for my heater core go through that?

The ICP sensor can be reached from th bottom up but do to its location is a little tricky to get to. If your EOC is bad then just change the ICP when you change the EOC. Also get an electrical pigtail for your ICP sensor as it may be oil soaked and need replacement as well.

In the 6.0 tech folder is a link to the 6.0 bible it will show you the location of all the parts.
