Decelerating idle speed

im having strange thing with my 5 Speed. When decelerating not down shifting and coming to a stop the idle stays around 1000-900 rpm's and when I come to a compleate stop it goes to idle. I seems like something is geting stuck open, but what I dont have a clue about.

A bit confused

5 speed manual, right?
Are you coasting to a stop? With the clutch in?
I think what you describe is normal but the details are a bit sketchy.

yea costing to a compleate stop the idle speed stops around 1000 rpm's then once stoped it drops to idle 800-850.

Higher idle while in motion

I believe this is by design. My guess is that the IAC opens a little while decelerating to improve MPG. By reducing the vacuum, there is less drag on the engine - allowing you to coast further (assuming you had it in gear).. You can notice it does this while above a set speed. Coast down a long hill and the RPM will by slightly raised until you come to a stop...
