Engine dying with chip

Engine dying with chip
My truck is starting to die with increasing frequency. It always seems to do it just off idle, either slowing down or taking off, but it doesn't do it all the time. Does it driving around town at stops and slow corners. It always starts right back up. It also sputters sometimes at low rpm accelerating but doesn't die. I put in my spare CPS, but it didn't make any difference. I have an Evo, and if I program it back to stock it drives around fine without dying.
I'm going to call Edge on Monday to see if they can help. Any ideas or previous experience with something like this?

I hope it's as simple as a problem with the Edge. I've been running the Evo for over two years with no problems, so I wonder what could be happening with it. I hope there's not a problem with the PCM that's starting to show up, or that the Evo has created a problem with the PCM.
So far no problems running it stock without the tuner. I think I'll just keep the Evo to run codes on the newer truck.....and sell the older truck without any tunes.
