Completed BBK throttle body install...
Well, My BBK 65mm throttle body came in yesterday, and I put it on this morning. Made a big difference in throttle response from what I can see. Stand on the gas off the line and the truck just leaps out there (if you can keep the tires from spinning). Seems to accelerate quicker through the entire RPM range, also. The only mod was to change the linkage cam, putting the stock cam on the BBK throttle body, as the BBK cam is smaller, making the throttle cable too long. This was DEFINITELY a worth while mod!

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 13-Dec-02 AT 01:07 AM (EST)]1. Bought it through Summit Performance. Like $370 with shipping.
(dont have the invoice right here in front of me, but that is close).
2. Swap took me about 2 hours. Could have done it quicker but I didnt want to get in a hurry and screw something up.
3. it is not the same size as the stock unit, it flows more. Stock throttle body is like .45 or .50mm I think (dont quote me on that). Anyway, the BBK unit is larger than stock. Otherwise, there would not have been any point in doing the swap. No pics yet, but I will get some as soon as I have time, and post them.

I really like the Diablo chip. I just got the basic Diablo Sport chip with one program. Looking back I wish I would have spent a little extra money and gotten the Delta. Maybe this spring I might look into changing it, but for now I am really happy with the one I have. They are definitely worth the money! The SCMT is supposed to be good, but I've heard both good as well as bad about that one in different threads here.:-X12
