Turbo rebuild kit (ron's turbo)

I just got my turbo together today.. I got the rebuild kit from ebay seller name is johnsmith04shop Store's name is ron's turbo service.. and i think the box said ron's turbo shop... He is in Utah, and i'm in PA. and had super fast ship times.

I just wanted to say if anyone has any doubt about buying a kit from him remove it and make the purchase. I purchased the kit monday eve. and it was sent tuesday, i had it at my door thursday.. I Sent him my shaft and WW along with kit back to him for his free balance job. I had the option to have him hold shipping but i didnt respond to his email in time ( i work night shift and he wrote early morn) to have him hold it so i had to wait for it to come then send it back with my wheel instead of just sending him the shaft and wheel. But it was sent out on saturday morn. And was delivered after 5pm on monday. He had it balanced and sent out on tuesday. I recieved it today (sat).. would have been sooner but the holiday knocked it back 1 day... I am very happy with his service and if ever needed i will buy from him again and not even look around including local shops.

Yeah, Ron rebuilt my van turbo. I bought it off ebay and wanted it rebuilt before I put it on the truck. I must have stayed on the phone with him for 30 minutes, he knows his stuff and does great work. I highly recommend him to anyone!

Has anyone here used rons turbo service salt lake city since this was first posted ? I have a e99 turbo that is in need of some help. I can grab the shaft on intake side and it moves up and down more than .025 and you can see where the wheel is rubbed in the middle of blade. I am looking for cheap stock rebuild. I have no meney for a real turbo!!

Hey big Al since I am don't have the $$ I'll be doing it myself but since I have the oddball E99 turbo I don't think the GTP38 kit will work. But I will be making some calls tomorrow.

I don't know for sure either, but Clay should be able to help, I would think the only real differences were in the housing and obvious wheel size, with the same internals.

That is the correct rebuild kit that Alan posted. The center section is the same for both and just so you know both the early and late 99 models are GTP38.

Thanks Clay But I might have bigger problem since the wheel has come in contact with the housing on intake side. I was at your website and you don't list any rebuilt e99 turbo but did have an e99 wheel. If it ok I was going to call you tomorrow anyway. So this just gives you a little heads up before the call.Talk to you in the am. Ed
