power loss with low sulfer diesel
Has anyone noticed a power loss with the new ultra low sulfer diesel. I hauled a car today and it seemed to have a power loss. Is it the diesel or my pickup. thanks

ULSD is a little less powerful but not much so you can notice except maybe on a dyno

There's a 1% reduction in BTU's with ULSD compared to the LSD. Not enough to notice on the highway.
Bad fuel, or winter blend causes more of a power loss than anything else fuel related.

It the winter blend. You gotta have it, but its a pain on power and mpg.
