Boost Tube

http://www.puredieselpower.com/catal...esel-p-90.html
10 bucks I figured what the H i'll give her a try.

The install:
1. Open Beer and set on radiator
2. Unplug red line from waistgate canister
3. Plug boost tube into waistegate canister
3a. Pour beer on hand since you accidentally touched the turbo and had just shut her down (HOT)
4. Plug red line into boost tube
5. Finish 6 pack since hand is now hurting.

I could not believe the visible and SOTP results from this. Before at WOT i would see 17 psi getting on the interstate, now not quite at WOT i was seeing 22psi and I was up to speed 200-300 yards earlier than usual.

Alan, Keep track of you MPG and let us know how the tube affects it. I know when I tried to run with the wastegate disconnected, the MPG took a nosedive.

LOL! I'm wondering the same thing! That would be nice if it works, for those with wastegates.

I just got back from filling up when I did it so I should be able to get some numbers next week. Only problem is the BTS VB and DP-Tuner go in next weekend so I can only get about 1/2 tank worth of mileage on the tube.

Over the last 3 months I have averaged 15.33mpg

Thats why i didnt disconnect the WG the way this works is it bleeds off about 1.5psi of the WG control pressure delaying the WG so I am hoping for a little less of the nosedive.

Well Pocket here they are

for the 3 months prior to doing the boost tube I averaged 15.33

Keep in mind that half way though this tank the DP tuner and BTS VB arrived

Filled up today mileage over last tank was 14.19

Tommorrow the Tube comes off and well see what the dp tuner does by itsself.

ive had mine on for about 2 and a half months or so, and havent noticed any change in mileage, and there is no noticable power difference in low speed low rpm driving, but highway driving say 3rd and 4th gear after lock up, the boost tube made a huge difference, it pulls so hard at 60 to 70 mph @ 22 lbs of boost on stock tune where as before it really didnt pull, it just wound out.

It could be that 140 Smoke tune. Thats why I took it off so I can get some base tuner numbers and then see how it does. You are right though it sure does give it some nutz around 70.
