Quick question for anyone who would know if F150's have a fuseable link that can possibly blow which would cause the transmission to slip going into overdrive, IE not have the proper pressure?? Just checking to see if I am being told a "fictitious story".....
Yes, it is a 2000 F150 4X4 Extended cab, 7700 option. Sorry I did not specify. Here is the deal, entire story. A few weeks ago, the transmission started to slip, so to speak, going into overdrive. A couple weeks later, the tranny grenaded itself. So, off to be rebuilt. Yes, I change the fluid regularly, more than required in fact. So, they rebuild the transmission. I get it back, it still slips going into overdrive. I take it back, they check the valve body and tell me nothing is wrong, still slips going into OD, if any pressure is on the gas. So, I take it back again. This time they tell me it was a fuseable link. I didn't think there was a fuseble link so that is what prompted the question here.....
Well, does anyone have a schematic that they can possibly email me a copy of? I want to take it back to this guy and tell him he is full of, well, you know....
I suspect it was the accumulator......or possibly something else....
