Is there a diagram and order of parts for the steering columns of the 73-79 pickups? I have pulled and repulled the wheel and components trying to get it to align properly. I have done this several times in the past and have never had any trouble with reassembly but this time I'm getting my butt kicked! I believe I have one of the slip rings in the wrong position. It all goes together fine but the wheel isn't pulled down far enough.

Thanks. By the diagram I am missing tghe bottom wave washer and have an extra snap ring (more like a c clip) up on the shaft. As of now it is as if my steering shaft is 1/4" too long, not allowing for a tight turn signal housing meet. Let me go pull it one more time. Thanks again.

 

Solved my problem. Seems the steering shaft cover moved down towards the firewall about 1/4" on top of the extra clip problem. Back together and working fine.
