Mine is a 75 f-100 4x4 so not sure if everything is the same but I have done it twice on mine. You have to take off the steering wheel with a puller. Unscrew the turn signal select swith ****. Then you have to mark which wire goes where on the bottom of the turn signal switch. Because you have to take it apart on the bottom ( take all the pins out of the post) so you can take it loose up top and pull all the wires through. Then pull the turn signal swith out the top. Then there are two nuts that hold the studs for the collar. Almost forgot there is the snap ring for the steering shaft center too. You have to remove that too. Then the collar should come off unless I forgot some stuff. It's been a while. I do remember that you have to glue the 2 studs with some silicone or something like to hold them in place to get the collar to tighten up. You will see when you try to bolt it together. Hope this helps. If you have more ? Just ask.
