replacing fuel filter

can anyone help with removing the fuel filter on a 2001 F150? once he clips are removed what would be the next ste?

you pull off the plastic C clip. then you need the small slip in too to relax the internal crimped blow out clip. you can go to NAPA, Auto Zone, SEars, etc and buy a tool or a complet set of tools. same type tool you use to remove air conditioner hoses.---- slip it inside the endbell, around the gas line. it bends the retainer ears out of the way so you can slide the endbell (hose fitting) off the filter.--- if you strong arm it and just pry it off, you will bend the sheetmetal retainer clip inside. it iwll eventually come apart, buy you destroy the retainer to get the hose off.
