Are the ford rear ends junk? I accidently left 150ft posi burn out and a duramax owner stated that ford rear ends are junk and he was surprised that it didnt grenade on me.Is there any truth to his statement? It was a one time accident i do not beat on my truck.
The Ford's 10.5 inch Sterling is one of the strongest in the industry.
IMO I feel strongly enough about that statement that I say this- I dare you to break it. Mine has 20,000 miles of 500+ rwhp and far too many burnouts to count, and doesn't make a noise. I changed the fluid at 17,000 miles and there was no visible metal anywhere.
Industrial Dude hit that nail squarely on the head! Just sour grapes from getting his doors blown off.
As also stated above, the Visteon/Sterling axles are very solid. I believe you would have a difficult time finding a post on this board where anybody had trouble with one.
Any of you rear end guys know if the 3.55's from the E-350 6.0's will fit in our F-250's. I'm concerned about the electonic pickup so the computer will keep working. Thanks..........
