I just picked up a used set of 71 F250 leafs to replace my broken F100 leafs! My original leafs are 2 1/4 wide 54 hole to hole! the 250 leafs are 2 1/4 and 54 hole to hole. The difference is at the end of the rear of the spring it has a flip over spring rest type of thing anyone know what type of problems I might be running into? I have a ford 9 inch rear end and these springs came off a Dana. Someone said I need to drill out the spring pad a 1/4 inch! I don't have the dana U bolts thinking the old ones should work! I do have the 250 shackel Bolts!

That is what Ford called Flex-O-Matic, I don't think that's compatible with the hangers you have on your truck. You may be able to pull that assembly off and bolt on the shackles from your old springs.

 

Anyone have any pics. of the F250 rear leaf spring with the Flex-O-matic so I can see how the setup is?
