coolant drain bolts on block?

coolant drain bolts on block?

I can only find the drain bolt on the drivers side of the block.Does anyone know where the other one is?

The other drain plug is on the passenger side of the block behind the starter.

Usually things are put on real tight so they don't fall off, that's what I'd guess neways..lol j/k Anyways while we are on the topic, how often (mileage wise) does the coolant need to be changed?? 50k miles?

Every two years or 24k miles.I flush mine once a year.

I'm not sure if it is in the Ford owners manual but it is in the Haynes and Chiltons manuals about flushing 24k miles or every two years.
To me,its cheap insurance to change it once a year,or 12k miles.

Yea, that is a good idea...just like changing every other thing on the truck early...The closer intervals you change it, the longer life you can expect out of your truck, that's just common sense right there, but it's key to do that if you want your truck a long time..

do i have to take off both drain plugs? We never could find the second drain plug.My buddy has a prestone backflushing system and hpoefully it will get most of the coolant out.
