Heater core
#2
I read the following reply (elsewhere on the web) to a similar question regarding the '97 heater core removal:
Sorry, there is NO fast way to replace the heater core. The steering wheel has to be lowered and the entire dash needs to be taken apart. About an 8 hour job. Recommend getting a Haynes or Chilton's book for the vehicle.
Hope that helps, Wm.

Mosar,
I happened upon this post from a couple years back (both links are current).
Cheers, Wm.
Well I replaced the heater core. It was a very Long Day but I am happy I did it. I went to a Ford Dealership and they were kind enough to print the dash removal instructions for me. It helped alot. I have uploaded the document to my web page at http://www.thepc-medic.com/Links.htm. You will need to have a program called efax Messenger to view it, which you can get free at http://www.efax.com/en/efax/twa/page/download I hope someone finds it helpful.
