3M™ Automix™ Panel Bonding Adhesive (PN 08115) - Anyone use it?
I have to repair the dog legs on my 91 Explorer and as an alternative to welding or riveting them in place, I was considering using an automotive adhesive to install them. Since they are repair panels and are designed to fit over the existing bodywork I figured it would be a good way to seal it using the adhesive.
Has anyone used the 3M™ Automix™ Panel Bonding Adhesive (PN 08115) product and if so how was it? Are there other products that are similar and if so where can I buy them?
Any help is appreciated.

Everything I've heard about this adhesive is positive. Many of the pro shops are using it instead of welding panels on. I've seen a couple of classic Mustangs that had rear quarters mounted using this method. Supposed to be stronger than a weld joint too. What has me wondering about whether to use it or not on my Mustang panels is the bonded panel having to be repaired in the future because of accident damage.

I have used it on my truck and am very happy with the results, I still weld anything structural
The benefits are no distortion due to welding and lap joints are completely sealed from moisture so are less likely to rust in the future
The 3M applicator gun was very expensive but I found a similar one for about quarter of the price that works fine
Do a search on the paint and bodywork forum as this has been discussed in detail there are cheaper alternatives one was called Fusor
