my question is can i install a non egr intake on my 351w and just can all of the egr stuff? do i really need any of it? i dont care about emissions legality.
it is in my 84 bronco, i want to do anything i can to make the engine more k.i.s.s. simple and keep it running. i want to put in an msd ignition and get rid of the stupid eec-iv set up, and basically take out any non essential crap in my engine compartment.
from the books i have been reading you realy won't gain any power from removing it. to tell you the truth the kid i bought my capri from ripped out the egr system and it's been nothing but a big pain in my but, setting off egr codes all the time.
i dont really want to gain power from removing it, i only want to know if i can get rid of it. i dont like it, and if i dont need it im goin to get rid of it. and since i am going to put in the msd ignition and shat can the eec-iv i dont have to worry about codes.
well in that case it can be done. the dot doesn't like it but you should be able to do it. look into your state laws here in NH if it came from the factory with it it's supposed to be there but that doesn't mean it has to work.

Reason: add info
thats what i wanted to know, cause where i live they dont pop your hood when they do state inspections. and i want to keep it all as basic as i can. the lest crap in the pile the less you can slip on
cool, well thing about it, i was looking at a summit racing catalog and they have intake manifolds for egr and non egr, i figured why not get rid of the egr crap
