I haven't received a bill or fine yet, but since my EZ-Tag wasn't stuck to my windshield, if the cameras took a picture of my truck there will be no visual evidence that I had an EZ Tag. Nervously I wait...
Calm down now...I went through the toll booths for a 2 week period here in Houston not realizing that the battery was dead in the Ez-Tag in my Toyo truck. All they did was call me and we discussed the matter. Long story short, they sent me 2 new Ez-Tags (one for the other car that had the same age Tag) and charged my credit card for the passes that I had made were they caught me on camera.
I hope the same will hold true for you. Just be polite and tell them the truth.
Thanks for the encouragement. I just have the image in my mind frozen of the guy running out of the booth at the Sam Houston - 290 interchange toll plaza, grabbing hold of my tailgate and bringing my truck to a halt with his Hulk-like strength. Your story eases my mind a lot!
No problem, and here in Texas, we just run you up to Huntsville and stick a needle in your arm for those sorts of offenses. Unless the governor gives you a last minute stay of execution...hehehe
I don't at all mind being a resident of the state with the most legal killings in the U.S.A.! I just wish they didn't have to stay on death row so long. Why wait and give them so many free meals, once sentenced, get it over with! (Tongue planted firmly in cheek)
