Keep lights ON

I never drive without my lights on. Is there a way to keep them on all the time without covering up the light sensor on the dash and without turning the switch to ON? I want to avoid turning the lights to ON during the day (and back to OFF when I turn off the truck) and AUTO during night. I can cover up the sensor but then it covers up the red flashing theft light too.

You can get a daytime running light kit from Ford. Then just leave the lights on auto.

Hey Kingfish51,

Does that mean that puting the lights in "manual" will turn off the daytime running lights?

No, they will still be on. I just suggested with these he can leave the lights on auto and the regular lights will come on at night.

Do you know if these are separate lights that need to be mounted on the front of the truck or are they possibly something that just turns the headlights or fog lights on?

Running Lights

I just got the mudule installed today, you keep it on auto, reason being is that the running lights give youapprox. 75% of the light output. And when it gets dark the auto kicks them up to regular power. If you keep them turned off instead of auto the lights will not reach their full brightness.

Can the daytime running lights be turned off, if needed?

DonsFx4:
Can you do this yourself...yes. The Relay costs $31.63 and the Resistor costs $50.93 when i last called the dealer in january. I have not added the parts yet as i am waiting on warmer weather.
