Has anyone tried this Amsoil 2000 0W-30. It claims to have a service life of 35,000 miles/1 year. I've always seen it being sold at people's houses and such but never tried it, thinking it was some kind of pyramid thing like Fuller brush.
Is it too good to be true? I would love to hear from someone with first hand experience.
IMO even if oil never breaks down, you cannot get all the contaminats out by filtering it. Amsoil is an exellent product, but I can't imagine changing oil every 10,000 mi.
0W-30 isn't a specified oil for our engine. And the Amsoil isn't an API certified oil. Be careful with your warranties.
I use Royal Purple's 100% PAO 5W-20 synthetic. It's the correct viscosity and it's API certified. Oh yea...it's cheaper too. I change it every 5K, just like Ford recommends.
