Dash Lights
How do I get the dash lights to turn on when I put on the fogs or lights
I have the auto-lamp feature which to me is useless - digression
If I cover up the sensor will the dash lights come on?
If so where is the sensor to cover up?

Middle of your dash up by the windshield. little square "smoked plastic". cover it up and your dash lights will come on all the time. Read somewhere guys were coloring the plastic with a black marker but I haven't done that yet.

All of these answers seem backwards to me. It sounds like you want to use daytime running lights and when you turn on your fog lights it dims your dash lights. If you cover that sensor on the dash it will turn on your lights ( if the switch is in the auto position) and that will dim your dash lights. You can turn them brighter, but is it enough?
I think you should be asking how to mod for daytime running lights.

Maybe I am not explaining myself correctly
I always run with lights either fogs or headlights and fogs
Depending on the available ambient light my dash lights will not be on
In low light situations I can't see the dash - I want my dash lights on - I have the dial turned to max one click away from turning on the dome light
Is there some way to have the dash lights come on when either fogs or headlights are turned on
I don't use the auto lamp feature

I had the dealer turn on the daylight running light feature on my truck and it works well. In the daytime I have headlights only and my dish lights are very bright as well. I run mine in auto all the time and when it starts to get dark it switches to night time mode and the dash lights get dimmer and the marker and tail lights come on. It was well worth it for me.

I don't want them on full I want them on when I turn on the head lights
On low light conditions I can't see the dash
When I go to the dealer to buy my filters I will ask about reprogramming
