The tank pump is a low pressure pump that just pumps it to the rail pump. The rail is high pressure and pumps it to the engine.

If either of your pumps isn't working then your truck probably won't even start. Or if it does, it will run really rough. Why are you asking? Is there a problem with yer Bronco?

How new is your air filter? Also, maybe your cat could be plugged. How does you rotor and distributor cap look? Is it wet at all? Check for cracks in it. You said your fuel filter was fairly new........how new? It is recommended that they be replaced once a year. Let me know.....I'll try to think of other things too.

im betting that you should replace your fuel filter as what you describe is the symptoms of a plugged filter on a fuel injected vehicle.

I am not sure about the cat...... If the cap and rotor are wet with moisture or they are really dirty on the contacts it won't fire properly. If the cap is wet it is probably due to not be on properly or it could have a crack in it. If you find it is wet, take the cap off (but leave the wires on) and use a blow dryer to dry itout. Then take it for a drive. If it drives fine then that is your problem. Good luck!
