Electric Fuel Pump 79 Bronco

If I got one I was gonna mount mine inside of the frame rail. I have put 5 fuel pumps on my Bronco within in the last 2 weeks. Everyone I had either had to weak of pressure, was leaking gas into my crankcase, and one of them chattered like crazy while it was pumping. My Bronco is set up for air and I am fixing to put my compressor back on it. I want a pump that is easy to change out if it goes bad. The air compressor and air compressor brackets make it hard to get a original mechanical pump off. Plus the wiring isnt that difficult to do for an electric pump.

All the fuel pumps I had did great the first couple days then they would just stop. All lines have been checked, all rubber lines have been replaced. As far as I know the ecentric on the cam is ok but I dont know for sure. I'm getting an electric in line and a block off plate in a few days. Also getting a new 2barrel carb, I've tried cleaning mine a million times still wont run right sometimes. May go with a 4barrel carb and intake if I can find a good used setup. Guy told me the Bronco ran good when I bought it, which it did, but now its went to crap. I mean its a good ole truck motor is very tight, good oil pressure and good power, everything works good. Then later down the road the guy told me well that Bronco sat a long time before I sold it, I was like well that probably explains the fuel problems Im having after I ran it awhile, bunch of crude in the tank busted loose probably.

Ill pull the tank monday and clean it and make sure it is usable. Gotta drop it anyways to put in a sending unit. Then ill put on my inline electric pump after I confirm system is clean. Does the fuel tank skid plate come out after the bolts are removed or is there something else that holds it on? I think there is only two or three straps holding the tank am I correct?
