The chip would need to be reprogrammed only if you want to correct the speedometer.

The gears will do the trick but you're going to lose a lot on the top-end.

The gears made all the difference in the world. My truck now hauls from first all the way to 98 governer. However I'm probably not really doing 98. But regardless, the mod was worth every penny and has been the only modification I've done yet where I actually "felt" a difference without having to take it to the track. I "feel" as if I'm going to gain a full second at the track just with the gear and Diff mod.

The Diablo is due to arrive today. I'll slap it in and let you know what happens.

In the future, can I send the chip back and have it programmed to correct my speedo? If so, what is your fee for this, because it's probably something i'd want to do, because right now my truck is governing me at 98 when i'm not really doing 98. How much is it off really though, more than 5MPH?
