Hello,

Just a quick question to those that own a 2014 F150 Lariat. I bought my new, and only now emptied my washer fluid reservoir. I did not get a warning light on my dash that I was low before I ran out. Please confirm whether you have a low washer fluid light in that truck with that trim or if there simply isn't one. (I have searched this form for a similar question and there is a thread from an earlier model year, 2011 I think. Simply let me know if there should be a warning light or if there simply isn't one, and please do not let this thread explode with some of the bashing about low washer fluid lights that I saw in the 2011 thread. I simply need to know if I should be expecting one since my 3 year bumper to bumper will run out this summer.)

Simply put, there is no light. You'll have to monitor the level by opening the hood. Probably not a bad idea to check other fluids while you have your head under there. Might also check the tire pressures too (this won't require you to be under the hood though)

 

Thank you for your reply. Just to be clear, I do pop the hood at least once a month if not more to check fluids, but I purposely wanted to empty the reservoir to see if there in fact was a light for this.

 

During the spring time I can run through a gallon of washer fluid in a work week commuting, so I always keep a jug with me. It is funny that my old '96 Explorer had a washer fluid level warning but the 2011 doesn't. Either way just remind yourself of it and top off when you can.

 

When you pop the hood- see that big empty space between the bumper and the radiator? Perfect storage for things like washer fluid. Where I am full-to-empty takes about a month so always having some on hand is required.
