Socket size?

What size socket do I need to remove the primary fuel filter on a 2015 power stroke? I have heard 23 and 32 MM. Just wondering. Thanks.

Don't rely solely on the socket. Try to get a strap wrench above it to assist. I broke the bowl last time I changed mine using only the socket. Now mine only gets changed once a year since it's my tow vehicle and not my daily driver. I think the o ring got a little sticky due to the extended duration of filter changed. Sounds like some guys have bought spare bowls to keep in their tool boxes for a "just in case" moment.

If you plan to just use that socket, you better gave a spare assembly on hand.

a strap wrench around the entire casing is the only way to ensure that you do not cracked that plastic cover.

Thanks or he replys. Never used the socket, always use a strap. Just wondering what size if needed. Thanks again.
