32mm is what mine is.

I picked up a 32mm socket for a couple of bucks at Harbor Freight.
Figured it didn't need to be a name brand high strength socket since it will be used on plastic.

I use a strap wrench. Heard too many stories of the nut breaking off and having to order and wait for a new housing, Since no dealers stock it.

I was one of those stories and since then I use a strap wrench. Its so much easier and I don't have to worry about the breaking the housing.

Do you strap around smaller diameter or larger? There isn't much room for the strap.

You resurrected an old thread but when you go to change the lower filter in the DFCM aka diesel fuel conditioning module as Ford calls it, you need to loosen it 3 full turns to break the suction before you open the drain plug or else it'll keep pulling fuel out the tank because it's still under pressure.
