Unbolt the 2 engine perches, and when you swap in the CV sub frame. You will notice 2 vertical mounting points.

Cut 2 squares of 1/4 plate steel to match the vertical mounts. Drill a hole, and tack in a 7/16 bolt to bolt to the vertical mounts off the CV sub frame.

Bolt down to the CV sub frame. Now measure the engine stands, and cut down factory stands. Tack to the 1/4 plate you just bolted to the sub frame. Remove bolts, and fully weld. Grind as desired for finished look.

Measure once
Cut twice
So you have a template of what not to do.

Ed Ritchey sells motor mount adapter kits for mating just about any engine to the CV mounts. Just ordered mine for my 302.

Also, I am currently swapping in an 03 CV front end on my truck, just finished welding everything up. I watched Texasknowhow to assist with my installation, so far so good.
