'67 F500 Fuel Pump

I have a 1967 F500 with a dump bed. It's been on farm most if not all of it's life. I bought it a few weeks ago and I'm fixing the items that have been farmerized* to pass a state inspection (I bought it in another state) for my plates.

One issue is a fuel leak. I've replaced the farmerized rubber lines that were rotten and leaking with steel (5/16" with inverted flare and appropriate adapters the fuel pump body). I'm still getting a leak from the top of the fuel pump.

I have the shop manual and there's nothing on rebuilding the fuel pump.

Are you guys familiar with a rebuild kit or a particular seal or seal kit that's commercially available?

It has the 330 motor with a mechanical fuel pump mounted inside the frame rail on the driver side of the engine just forward of the oil filter.

Thanks for your help- Bill

*Farmerized means that if you can fix it with bailing wire, electric tape, a nail or a bolt instead of a pin or JB Weld then it's fine till next season and we'll fix it then...unless we're too busy.

Ford did have a diaphragm repair kit back in the day. Part number C3AZ9349B. But this part number was discontinued Long before the oxygenated gas most states have now. Below I will list the 2 companies that show some you can buy. But if your local gas has ethanol or methanol in it I suggest you DON'T buy one of these N.O.S. kits. The oxygenated gas will eat through the new diaphragm sooner than you would like.

You're welcome. BTW, Welcome to FTE and the Bumpside Kingdom.

As stated, if you have ethanol or methanol in your local gas and want to purchase a new fuel pump locally, here is the info on the pump.

Originally Part number C4TZ9350C was made by Carter. Stamped 3908 on mounting flange. Fuel pump code T46.
C4TZ9350C was replaced by D2TZ9350A. Discontinued by Ford. This part number was built by Airtex. Stamped RD-410-MF on the mounting flange. Fuel pump code T64.
If you give your local parts store this info I am sure they can get you a brand new pump. They are usually only $25 to $30.
