My mechanic said it would cost 180$ for a new pump, is there any place I can get a cheaper pump?

You can probably find some cheaper but the price that was quoted to you sounds like and OEM Ford Pump.

 

If you're not in a push for it keep an eye on eBay. I lucked out and bought a new one for $38 shipped.

 

180 is an OEM price thats waht I payed, well my dad did, when we took the truck to Ford.
