Almost looks like a protective piece of plastic that you need to remove

hub

Not the plastic that holds the needle bearings in place for storing. Look at the circular part with 4 notches. It has a larger diameter than the old one that I removed. The old one has a diameter of about 2.5 inches and the new one has a diameter of about 3.25 inches. Since the truck has 175k miles I'm sure that its not the original. So I'm not sure which one is wrong. Or if it makes a difference.

The bolt holes look like they are NOT the same distance apart... new one looks wider. Doubtful thats the correct hub bearing.

hubs

The pic is deceiving. its the same in every way except for that back plate with notches in it. I measured both today. The old one is 3.25 inches and the new one is 3.75 inches. It will fit but not sure if the 4x4 will function properly. Ill try to find some images of the 2005 model.
