Bed alignment

The bed on my 55 is lower on thr passenger side by about an inch. Looks bad from the back of the truck. Everything is bolted correctly. Is there a simple fix?

band aid solution would be to add shims under the bed bolts on that side.

Check your rear cab mounts

From what I have read it is not uncommon for the cab mounts to sag from age which can make part of the issue actually being with the cab and not the bed. I would be sure to check those first and make sure the cab is level to the frame and then look at what might be causing the problem with the bed after that. I have a similar but much smaller issue with my bed. I have about 1/4 difference and have been debating getting the adjustable rear cab mounts from Mid Fifty to help solve the issue but from taking measurements it appears that the cab is actually more level than the bed on my truck so a shim might be an option for me.

How did you determine it is your bed that's low? Are you sure it''s not the frame, springs, or as earlier stated your cab? Your bed bolts directly to the frame with only small pads between the bedrails and frame. It would almost be impossible for there to be 1" difference because of the bed.

Pictures would help, otherwise we are just guessing as several things can cause this as you can see from the previous good suggestions.

Dimensions to a flat solid floor from critical parts of the frame on both sides and same on the cab and bed. From there you can tell where the difference in height is. Make sure tires are equally inflated and sized.

I have the same issue with mine. Came to find that the bed was improperly made and assembled. It all began at the front panel being stamped and drilled incorrectly and not corrected before spot welding and assembly.
