1963/79: Warranty Plate usually riveted to the left door face below the latch.

The Warranty Number is the VIN, but the VIN on the Warranty Plate was not used by DMV's to register vehicles, as the plate was too EZ to change.

Compare the Warranty Number to the VIN on the registration and/or title to see if they match.

People replaced damaged left doors with used doors. 99.9% of the time, they failed to install the original Warranty Plates on the replaced doors.

N60 = N600 (gas).

A = 330 2V Medium Duty FT engine.

U = Louisville KY Assembly Plant.

543943 = 1964, assembled May 1964.

144" Wheelbase.

J = Rangoon Red.

N602 = N600 (gas) .. 20,000 lbs. GVWR

181: 1 = Light Gray Crush Vinyl & Light Gray Rib Vinyl / 81 = 81A Standard Cab.

A = New Process 435 4 Speed Manual Transmission.

64 = Timken model F106 Single Speed Rear Axle / 6.80-1 / 15,000 lbs. Rear Axle Capacity.

20,000 lbs. Gross Vehicle Weight Rating.

43 = Milwaukee WI Ford District Sales Office, where the original selling dealer ordered the truck from.

The hardest part of that is its sitting in the weeds next to the train tracks where I work lol. So I asked 2 places that the truck could be and they both said to ask the other place so I bave no idea where the title would be lol

FTE member ms_michelle has a beautifully restored 1967 N series. Pics in her member gallery.

So I'm guessing it was a replacement door because it's a orange color and the tag says it's Rangoon Red.

That truck picture is the faded version of Rangoon Red. It is probably original paint so it is 52 years of oxidation.

I guess I didn't think of that.. but it will need a new driver side door it looks like a tree fell and hit the door. But the door still opens and closes just fine. Just a big dent and bent top end

Also with the Timken model F106 Single Speed Rear Axle / 6.80-1 if for some reason it's still functional would it be good for over 55+ mph like highway speeds with a newer engine/transmission?
