On my old tank I had a problem with the rollover valve weeping a little so I put a small catch bottle on it.
the valve I think you are looking at is from the RDS gravity feed kit. I used it as a place to connect hose.

Ah... Ok. Thanks, for posting this picture of the water separator. I hadn't really thought about putting one in.

I have a 3/8" Electric Solenoid Valve that I was thinking of using on an up-fitter switch. I was going to put it after the 3/8 ball valve, but under the bed where you have the separator. My thought was, in order to get more accurate trip reading's on my gauges (and correct me if I'm wrong) when the main tank reads empty, I'd reset my trip 1, flip the switch, opening the Solenoid Valve and drain the auxiliary tank into the main tank. My only concern is how long it would take to drain 51 gal's through a 3/8" opening and how that in itself would give be inaccurate readings.

I've heard that some had issues with the gravity file overflowing when they opened the ball valve and the main tank was full. It was usually when the truck was sitting. Either they didn't install the gravity feed kit right or another issue. It seem to be OK when when the engine was running, so putting a electric solenoid valve may help there, by switching it on after the engine is running. IDK... What advantages or disadvantages there are for adding electric solenoid valve. Thanks and thanks again, for the pics

In line with the solenoid, you can also run a fuel pump. I ran this Carter fuel pump for years on my RDS 60 gallon tank/toolbox in my old truck. Worked great. Had it on a switch in the cab and just flipped it when I got low on fuel.

I had a 45 gallon in my 2008 F350 and really liked that tank. I wanted to go with something bigger but all they had for UNDER cover tank was a 72 gallon.
Got lucky. They recently called me about a delay on my 45 gallon tank and while talking to them they said they could increase my tank to 55 gallon for another $100. DO IT. I couldn't say that fast enough. It just makes the tank 3" deeper -- no problem.

I am going to add the NAPA base and water separator FILTER as well.

Enjoy the road. We do.

I kept the OEM 42 gallon tank on the truck. With the 80 gallon gives me 120 gallons of fuel. Its very nice. I use the Dieselsite 2011-2016 Ford 6.7L Fuel Filter / Water Separator before my OEM Filters. Its works great down to two microns.

Bigdon68 I was having a problem trying to pictures on the pm so I'm going to try and respond here.

I mounted the filter under the bed on the driver side. I'm going to try and put a lot of pictures here. Hope it helps.

Under the bed before

It was hard to do but with a lot of work and thinking ahead I was able to do it.

DL222 --Thanks

Thanks for the additional picks. They were great. I have a electric fuel pump for my auxiliary tank that will also be mounted near the NAPA filter. It actually needs to be mounted after the filter so that it pulls fuel through the filter. That will make it a little more interesting.

This Carter Fuel pump comes with the ATTA Tank I purchased. I have had this type of pump with another tank and it works great. Low pressure pump, 3/8 inlet, 70 GPH

I 2nd this... This is the same pump I received with my ATTA 454RBR and it works great. I mounted it on the inside of the bed between the cab and the wheel well on the drivers side.

I used the same pump on my gas rig be very careful tightening the shoulder studs that hold the pump to the bracket. I stripped 2 out of 3 on mine and had to use metric bolts and cut off the heads. It took almost nothing to strip the studs, just turning it with a small wrench and felt no resistance whatsoever, but they kept turning and stripped. Got mine from Rock Auto
