Air pump bypass question

My truck has the 4.9 and a shorter belt on to bypass the air pump.. My state/county has emissions, and I have a code for the air pump and 2 codes for running lean...

So, do I need my air pump/cats to pass inspection?

Getting the air pump operational will prbably eliminate the P0411 code. It will not fix the P1443 code and will not likely fix codes P0171,P0174 (lean). As stated before you may have a vacuum leak or another cause could be low fuel pressure. Since this is OBD-II it could be a dirty/faulty MAF meter. The lean codes are probably the reason for the mis-fire code P0301.

Eliminating the air pump and most certainly the converter(s) will trigger an emissions inspection fail.
