Truck not accelerating or shifting right.

The other day I was driving to work and I noticed my truck wasn't accelerating right and the transmission wasn't shifting into high gear. Its almost like the truck went into neutral around 2000 rpm. Any ideas on what the issue could be? I really don't want to replace my transmission if I don't have to.

I'd say something is wrong.

If you need any more detail I'd need to know something about your truck. Year and engine would be a good start.

Its a 2002 F250 7.3L with an 4r100 transmission. The gears aren't slipping it's just not accelerating and shifting right.

Get the codes read. Without the codes all you can do is buy parts until you get lucky.

99% of the time when the truck won't accelerate or shift right the problem is the engine, not the transmission.
