94 7.3l idi hard start rough idle and stalling
I have a 94 f250 7.3l idi turbo. I've been having trouble with it starting got the glow plugs changed now it's having trouble again and also it idles real rough and it's been stalling whenever I'm idling or coasting. I tried diesel keen but it hasn't seemed to do anything.

Forum recommend ones. Motorcraft I think not the autolite. Yes it surges and almost every time it starts it's a hard start sometimes if I switch tanks and switch back it'll start sometimes start then shut off sometimes it'll start and keep running. 168k miles. I can't use my rear tank because it has a hole in it

If I was you, I would be DEAD FACT SURE of what Glow Plugs were used ... No question!
Other than Motorcraft/Beru ZD9's wind up like this
Ultimately requiring the heads to be pulled to get the tips out ...
When it's hard starting, you getting any smoke out the tail pipe?
What color?
When was the last time the Fuel Filter was replaced?
It sounds like it's starving for fuel and or sucking air ...
At this stage, I'm suspecting lift pump!
To test this, Remove the Schrader valve (tire valve looking thing) in the fuel filter head, attach a short piece of hose to a bottle (like plastic soda bottle), Crank the motor for 10 seconds, you should get 1/3 pint and little air!
EDIT
O-yea, Whats the coolant look like, any oil, black or grey goo?
Make sure your SCA's are up to par as well, you can buy test strips at most auto parts stores.
EDIT2
You might want to read the Read first stickies here Pre-Power Stroke Diesel (7.3L IDI & 6.9L)

They are Motorcraft. . There's about 4000 on the oil and fuel filter 8quats of oil 2 of Lucas high milage. I filled the fuel filter with an injector cleaner instead of diesel when I put the new filter in. Not sure about the coolant. I know the engine was rebuilt 30k ago because of the 8th cylinder and the coolant probablem. Also there is white smoke with lower rpms when driving. The glow plugs are good I had a lot of trouble with then at first went through the whole system and got it solved new relay and new plugs.

Also check your oil for signs of water, like grey goo ...
4000 ... I change my oil and filters every 3500 miles, some go a lot longer.
White smoke while driving is not a good sign, that's typical signs of burning coolant!
When it's running, open the radiator cap, fill it to the very very tippy top, does it pulse in and out ... Look at the first video in this post for an example Strange noise coming from air cleaner
