2016 Cabin Air Filter?

2016 Cabin Air Filter?
I've just had my truck for a couple of weeks and today was putting together my maintenance spreadsheet. When looking for info on changing the cabin air filter, the owner's manual seems to default to "see your Ford dealer". I did some searching, and the only thing I could find was this Youtube video for changing it in a 2015:
Is this the same for the 2016? If so, holy hell, what a pain. I can change the filter in my 4Runner in like 30 seconds. I can't believe Ford makes it so convoluted. It wouldn't be so bad except that I'm on a farm in a dusty environment, so I like to change cabin air filters every 10K miles or so.
On the bright side I guess, is there's a whole lot less other maintenance to do compared to my previous truck, an 08 F-250 diesel.

Good to know it's not as bad as I thought. I'm just always afraid of breaking stuff from pulling too hard with my baboon hands.
Though I still think Ford should follow the lead of other manufacturers by making it a "no taking stuff apart" item. Also a friend sent me a Youtube video on how to do it on the Fiesta. Holy moly, the F-150 is really a cakewalk compared to that, so things could always be worse.
Anyway, great video Tom! I already stuck it in my Youtube reference library. Thanks for taking the time to make it!

Glad you found it useful Ben.
Most maintenance items seem to be a bit easier on the newer trucks. Of course I haven't dug into this one much, but oil changes are easier than on the previous generation trucks. 2015 was the first year for a cabin air filter in the F150s, and I'm happy to have it despite the added maintenance hassle.

There was a previous thread on this subject. I have the 2015 Platinum, and 3 Ford dealers told me that 2015s didn't have a cabin air filter. I showed them my service manual and owner's manual, both of which discuss changing the filter. On the Platinum trim line, there is a plastic 'wood' piece of trim that covers the 2 bolts that need to be removed. It is a very delicate prying job to remove that trim without breaking it. Bad design.
