Kind of like having a Larger Radiator, Larger Mass, More capacity, all equals better Cooling.
But, If I really don't need them ..

from a mechanics standpoint the mag hytech rear diff with the drain plug and dipstick make checking diff lube and checking the level really easy and mess free.

I also went with the trans pan just because I like the idea of more fluid along with a trans temp sensor port in the pan.
you already bought them so install them and forget about them. sounds like a fun trip!

Another reason to not want this pan.

Why would you want to read the temperature in the pan? That's going to be the coldest temperature you can find inside the transmission. There is a port just above the pan, on the driver's side of the trans that will give a MUCH more accurate reading of the actual temperature inside the transmission.

Living in Florida I don't have elevation to put the Transmission under to much of a load.
My Transmission Temperature runs around 200* in daily driving, but the Temperature does began to run warmer (not much) but it does while Towing are 8-9000 lb Travel Trailer around here.
For any of you that live, or tow in areas we'll encounter in our travels, what can I expect
my Transmission Temps run ? By the way, I've cancelled my order on the
Transmission Pan . That saved me $350.
