Appreciate the info, bob went and took pictures of it and it was a rusted out mess, i would have to cut out all the cancer and weld in complete new metal on both sides just to begin with and who know what lies underneath..soooo

John, I would have made that same decision not to get that tailgate. It's more work than I'd put into it myself. And I have WAY too much time on my hands.

yea, def not good. You know what they say, you can count on at least triple the rust you don't see from the rust that you do and since those are the sides where hardware is attached for lowering/lifting throwing fiberglass on there to replace isn't really an option, I would have to cut all that in and fab in new pieces of sheet metal, finish, blah, blah..
yea, definitely thinks again to you bob and for ***** to offer up the delivery closer to me..

Man, that would be awesome. I'm always up for a road trip but wilsbiro is 2 hours away that would be at least a 5 hour round trip in the middle of a work day for me. Next time for sure though..
