Any ideas on what it would cost to get a tailgate for a 99 B2500? I found one on Craigslist, but there is no tailgate, owner said he bought it that way. I may consider buying it, if he still has it tomorrow. Any good alternatives to the stock tailgate?
Do you want a TAILGATE as in the swinging up and down tailgate? Go find out at a junkyard or something. I know they have rubber/cloth ones. But I can not find one for the life of me. Ehhh, gimme a few mins ill try to find it.
I posted this after the auto wreckers were closed, and I just wanted to know if anyone had an idea. I did try the car-part website, and the price was $150.00. The Turbo-Net would work, but not when I haul barkdust or pea gravel, or a few sheets of plywood. I figure that by the time I got a tailgate and had it painted it could be $250.00. Enough to make the truck not such a good deal. Thanks.
