Search for a tailgate
Hey guys, so I have exhausted the jy's here in western North Carolina for the hunt for a tailgate. There were not that many to begin with so.. if you happen, In your journeys to come across any at all and let me know I would forever be grateful. If you find one, know a guy that knows a guy, etc...lol

That would be awesome. They are all in interchangeable aren't they? From what I have read they will all work between the years. If you could get a number or something that would be awesome but don't make a special trip or go out of your way. I've lived without one so far, just trying to complete the truck and I don't want to pay lmc almost 1k for tailgate and hardware...lol

This truck is on their web sight as still being there. I snagged some stuff off of it this last Monday and the tailgate was still on it. If you have a dollar let me know, and I'll call them and see how much that tailgate is.

Yes the 73-79 are the same style.

I'll also PM you tomorrow and let you know what I find out. Then if you want it I'll get you a price, what it cost me, plus my fee to get into the pick and pull, and a few bucks for gas.

Tailgate is $52, plus $8 for a core, plus tax, plus $3 to get in, and how's $10 for my fuel
So you could be in that for about $80, if it's still there. If it's a turd and not worth removing, or gone, I'm out $13 for fuel, and admission.

If it helps a brother out I am heading west on Friday morning. What part of the State are you in. I know I am stopping around 11;30 Friday morning for lunch at The Sagebrush in North Wilkesboro. Might be able to lower the back seat and get it in there. Let me know if I can help out.
