Clearance Lights/ Cab Lights wireing

I recently installed the $10 Harbor Freight cab lights. I couldn't figure out how to wire them to the headlight switch so they are on the uplifted. Any one know how to tap into the headlight switch so they are on when the headlights are on?

Looks good. I would tap the parking lights if I were you.

Did the kit come with a relay? If not, you should buy one.

I tried to tap the park lamp but I'm having some issues, can you tell me where I'm going wrong. See wiring layout attached.

Also now the head lights will only go off when it's in "auto" position. They stay on when in the off position. But cab lights never come on.

Just tap into the hot wire going to one of your front or back parking/running lights, at the "light".. works great..

I had been looking into this, and was under the impression that the pre 2011 trucks that had overhead consoles had the plug for clearance lights already ran in that harness. My 2016 has the dome lights with sunglasses holders(my truck is an xl, so I'm guessing all the newer trucks have this), I was hoping the plug would be ran with it. You didn't happen to look while you had the headliner down did you?

There are several threads around that show a wiring harness you can switch and you don't have to tap into any wires. I know there's one in the Super Duty Forum, I think it even has the harness part number.
